Pamplona again hits the news
\nturns the screws
\nand this time a women is gored
\nby a Miura Bull
\nwith plenty of pull
\nand this poor young women
\nwas floored<\/p>\n
trying to climb up a fence
\nshe was hit and tossed
\nin their air she is
\ngravely ill so we hear
\nmostly the runners are men
\nbut somehow this lady
\nnow knows about fear<\/p>\n
these bulls are majestic
\nand run like the clappers
\nand of course they are prepared
\nbefore the run so
\nthey are very angry
\nit doesn’t make sense
\nfor anyone really
\nto get over the fence<\/p>\n
and into their path
\nits not the thing to do
\nits the red wine and hot sun
\nthat is my view<\/p>\n
Bulls being run through
\npacked streets
\ntells us they
\nthe municipal councils
\nwe must ask them why?
\nand they must stand by
\ntaking responsibilty
\nfor what is unwarranted
\nand vile cruelty<\/p>\n
Spain to me
\nseems just to have lost its way
\nso some saint from the 16 th Century
\nholds sway
\nbut I am sure that this saint
\nwould not care to see
\nwhat they do in his name
\nbringing such misery<\/p>\n
the cheap weekend holiday firms
\nshould now cease
\nselling this package
\nit is no show piece
\nits a cruel out of date
\nvery dangerous affair
\nwhere red wine and bulls
\nand the crowds have to share
\nthe streets
\nthat to me is an awful idea
\nand injuries happen
\nwhich today’ was made clear <\/p>\n
Every Bull running from the pens
\nto the ring
\neach one of them
\nwhat it does bring
\nto my mind is the senselessness
\nfor each of them will
\nbe killed in the ring
\nand their blood they will spill
\nthis is cold blooded murder
\nof healthy young souls
\nwho are injured by trainers
\nwho spread their controls
\nand then they are slaughtered
\nin the ring so that some
\ncan be entertained
\nentertained!
\nit leaves me numb<\/p>\n
and all thinking caring souls
\nout there should see
\nthat Spain is behind the times
\nand she should be
\nwaking up fast to this
\nevil intent
\nand the people who watch
\nare so clearly bent
\non blood and guts day’s out
\nnumb to the pain
\nnumb to the cruelty
\nand most are insane<\/p>\n
to pay to watch bulls being
\nmurdered to me
\nis sick its so sick
\nculture! take it and be
\nable to realise this isn’t right
\nwe shouldn’t put Bulls in a ring
\nand then fight
\nits cruel they have no chance
\nthe matador wins
