They called me “Rosa”
\nI hear that name a lot
\naround this place
\ncaged up and contained
\nlike this
\nit is such a disgrace
\nfor me a wild and passionate
\nsoul who really loved to roam
\nall day to forage
\nhere and there
\nand quite away from home<\/p>\n
sometimes to shelter
\nnear a cave
\nand let the sun shine on
\nthe weather here is cold its true
\nbut out there I was gone
\non Nature and my whereabouts
\nfor me me it was my place
\nI knew just every part of it
\nit was a happy space<\/p>\n
till that life it just ended
\nand i was forced to be
\non this garage forecourt
\nin a cage for all to see
\nthat diesel smell it got to me
\nit choked me up inside
\nthe roughness of those customers
\nit couldn’t be denied
\nthey were vile some of them
\nrude and nasty
\nstaring drivers who
\ntossed a few expletives
\nand a cigarette or two<\/p>\n
the time went slowly by
\nand I got bored out of my mind
\nno where to roam
\nthis awful home
\nI just could not unwind
\nI felt myself feeling weaker
\nand emotional as well
\nfor me for any wild soul
\nwhat men do it is Hell
\nfood was scarce water too
\nI just wanted to die
\nwhen time stands still most of
\nthe day
\nyou begin to question why<\/p>\n
anyone could do this
\nand why do it to me
\nwhat had I done
\nto deserve this
\nI cried incessantly
\nus wild ones have internal tears
\nwe cry into our soul
\nwe are wild but it is very hard
\nto sit here in control<\/p>\n
and so I know
\nI look real sad
\nso very sad
\nand I
\ncould have been so happy too
\nI just ask myself why
\nthen 4 paws
\nsome nice humans
\nhelped me to get free
\naway from all those petrol fumes
\ninto a sanctuary
\nwhere smiling faces welcome me
\nwhere soft hands seem to be
\nI know my face looks a bit sad
\nbut I will be happy gradually<\/p>\n
all those uncouth rotter’s
\nwho spat at me and tried
\nto upset and to rile me
\nI still have my pride
\nand now I can relax a bit
\nand realise that I
\ncan now be safe
\nwith lovely souls
\nwho care yes I do sigh<\/p>\n
The 4 paws angels found me
\nand now I do feel good
\nthey really understand me
\nand now I suppose I should
\nlighten up and be a bear
\nwith nature I can always share
\nsmile a bit and not be denied
