Anyone from Kebabs?
\nyou see them every day
\nglistening with fat and grease
\nthe agony they say
\ncan be felt, consuming but
\nlet me elucidate
\nI was a lamb in Australia
\nwhich was good and sometimes great<\/p>\n
the sky was often blue
\nthe sun was often hot
\nI had a lot of grass to eat
\nand some wild stuff too, I got
\nso life was pretty happy
\nuntil one day we saw
\nthis massive 16 wheeler
\nparked out by the door<\/p>\n
this was a vile expression
\npromising true hell
\nand sure enough the lot of us
\nwe knew only too well
\na journey was beginning
\nFreemantle probably
\nthrough the bush to Frio
\nto the black swans and the sea<\/p>\n
where would we be heading
\nthe Arab States may be
\na chance to taste the ocean
\nand the pyramids for free
\nthe truck was full to brimming
\nhundreds of us went
\nwe hadn’t any water
\nso we were being sent<\/p>\n
abroad it seemed
\nwhich was ominous
\nno water and no food
\ncrushed together, moving
\nthe whole thing just felt crude
\nthe truck did stop a few times
\nbut we were kept inside
\na blazing sun created an oven
\nthey denied<\/p>\n
us any liquid, sadly
\nand we felt faint as hell
\nthey certainly dealt us one sad hand
\nand we began to smell
\nwe got to Frio early
\nit was cooler than before
\nbut we were feeling as sick as dogs
\nwhich I’d never felt before<\/p>\n
I mean we all could hardly walk
\ndown into the hold
\nand it was stiflingly hot down there
\nand it smelled like something old
\nmusty dusty foreign unlike anything before
\nthey crammed us in there really tight
\nthere was dried blood on the floor<\/p>\n
so many of us in there we just couldnt lay
\nso where ever we were going we’d be standing
\nall the way
\nthe crossing it was awful we got bruised and thrown about
\nwe all felt sick
\nour bowels were loose
\nthe fear factor no doubt<\/p>\n
we were forced to lick some fluid from the floor
\nwe had to, we
\nwould otherwise have perished
\non that journey on the sea
\narriving at our port of call
\nmen in white blankets stood
\naround, all chatting on the docks
\nsome wore a white hood<\/p>\n
they were not like Australians
\nwhat were they going to do
\nas we were walked off of the ship
\nthey grabbed us
\nyes a new
\nexperience of course it was
\nbut fearful just the same
\nI was grabbed and manhandled
\nand my heart it did inflame<\/p>\n
I was tossed into a car boot
\nfull of tools and gear
\nI could hardly fit inside
\nwhich truly raised the fear
\nthen I was locked inside this hole
\nthe boot was rammed down tight
\nand the car sped off down dusty roads
\nand I was still with fright<\/p>\n
eventually we stopped and the boot
\nwas opened and
\nsunlight filled my waking eyes
\nand I soon could understand
\na sharp knife I just saw it
\nas they slashed me to my root
\nin front of giggling children
\non the pavement yes this brute
\nI was lifted up and killed
\nthough I never saw the pyramids
\njust my blood, that was spilled<\/p>\n
well I would be a kebab
\non that spit I’d end
\nall the fat and grease
\nand fly blown maggots
\nthey would send
\na message to the human un kind
\nwho came by to choose
\nsome pita bread and slices
\nthat few men could refuse
