{"id":915,"date":"2012-01-19T09:55:01","date_gmt":"2012-01-19T09:55:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=915"},"modified":"2013-03-19T17:57:26","modified_gmt":"2013-03-19T17:57:26","slug":"the-dogs-of-korea-or-the-animals-here-you-decide","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/01\/the-dogs-of-korea-or-the-animals-here-you-decide\/","title":{"rendered":"The dogs of Korea or the animals here\/ you decide"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: center;\" align=\"center\">Old battered cages on a rusty old truck<br \/>\nDogs crammed into cages,clearly ran out of luck<br \/>\nA while ago, now in a prison of sorts<br \/>\nJust one look at them and you know all their thoughts<br \/>\nKoreans eat Dogs, well that&#8217;s by the by<br \/>\nBut they treat them so badly, and there&#8217;s no reason why<br \/>\nSweet little pedigree pups from a mill<br \/>\nHuddle and shiver sitting so still<br \/>\nTragically all off to market,to be brutally killed in the street<br \/>\nThe handler doing a job I suppose<br \/>\nNot paid a lot and it just kind of shows<br \/>\nThrown about madly, picked up by the ears<br \/>\nThe yelping is heartfelt to hold back the tears<br \/>\nIs nigh on impossible for what you see<br \/>\nIs the treatment they get and its too much for meTossed into the air and kicked where they lay<br \/>\nThey sit on the lids on a head in the way<br \/>\nYou can hear the dogs howl as the cage hits their back<br \/>\nAnd their limbs very often you can hear them crack<br \/>\nThis is, clearly, Hell for the Dogs of Korea<br \/>\nLost in the maelstrom of absolute fear.<br \/>\nDoleful eyes stare out, and up into space<br \/>\nHopeful perhaps for a gentle embrace<br \/>\nBut its not going to happen they&#8217;ll be prodded about<br \/>\nAnd killed in a most savage method, no doubt<br \/>\nEach sits and watches as its friend is killed<br \/>\nHears its dire bleating as its blood is spilled<br \/>\nHow, must they feel all witnessing this<br \/>\nIts really behaviour and man&#8217;s so remiss<br \/>\nTo subject any creature to abominable stress<br \/>\nWith its spirit and emotions to obviously mess<br \/>\nIn a second South Korea shows you the Hell<br \/>\nIts right in your face, the blood and he smell<br \/>\nand the cries, and the yelps and the curdling sound<br \/>\nThat just seems to actually follow you around<\/p>\n<p>Here in the UK, earthlings get a bad time<br \/>\nBehind the locked doors in the blood and the slime<br \/>\nBut here in Pusan its out on the street<br \/>\nIn the Dog markets and they&#8217;re not discreet<br \/>\nThey skin them and quarter them and hang them high<br \/>\nor scald them to death, and then in oil fry<br \/>\nIts brutal, its vile, but then its Korea<br \/>\nIts not hidden away like it is over here.<br \/>\nAnd of course they eat Dogs and obviously cats<br \/>\nProbably snakes and even fruit bats<br \/>\nBut they stay in their cages until someone buys<br \/>\nand then only then the animal dies<br \/>\nHere we eat cow, we eat pig, we eat lamb, we eat Rabbits and Duck and chicken and ram<br \/>\nbaby calves, suckling pigs even evil foie gras<br \/>\nPristine trays under lights where deceit is the star<br \/>\nThe Death House is really as bad here as there<br \/>\nCanines or ungulates, assorted fayre<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
