Ivory
\nthe tusk of Elephants
\na god form creation
\nthey were granted this grand tool
\nfor them
\na true salvation
\ntragically men came along
\nwith evil intent they
\ndecided they could use this tusk
\nto carve and make it pay
\nbut waiting for the elephants to
\ndie appeared to be
\nfar too long when man
\ncould have them killed
\nso he could free
\ntheir tusks for his embellishments
\nand so it was that he
\nbecame a bloody murderer
\nof the elephant who be<\/p>\n
stalwart in their service
\nbut frail compared to man
\na very sincere spirit
\nand somewhat of a fan
\ngenerous of nature
\nwith a heartfelt wish to be
\nout there marching for the cause
\nbut against his weaponry
\nthey didn’t have an answer
\nthe arrogance displayed
\nthe selfishness that ruled his world
\nno matter how much each weighed
\nIvory was blood itself
\nand many souls have died
\nthe great tool man has stolen
\nwhich often he’s denied<\/p>\n
stolen and used tragically
\nfor ornamentation he
\nhas wasted this true god form
\nthroughout antiquity
\nhe showed his vilest colours
\nand tragically we know
\nthe Elephant has perished
\nin a senseless eerie glow
\ncreation looks upon us
\nnot in wonderment or joy
\nbut in a strange derisive sense
\nour arrogance could destroy
\nnot only all the elephants
\nbut man un kind as well
\nwhose ivory embellishments
