Battle scarred and wounded
\nlost to jungle life
\ntaken from the freedom
\nof the forest
\nto the knife
\nthe scalpel, and assorted tools
\nthat carved in her great wounds
\nPetra was a Rhesus Monkey
\noperated on by loons<\/p>\n
invasive cerebral surgery
\nfur shaved off, and cuts made
\nmentally she circled her cage
\nas life did fade
\ntorment and lack of compassion
\nyelled at her on the floor
\nher sacrifice was never seen
\nneither her blood nor gore<\/p>\n
she gave herself to what they felt
\nthey needed
\ncorporate cleaning products may be so
\nrhesus monkeys suffer
\nquite extraordinary scars
\nbroken hearts and sadness
\nthe tears flow
\nwithin, she cried full bucket loads
\nof tears she did
\nher mental state so faded by it all
\nround and round
\nshe circled in her dirty
\nlittle cage
\nuntil the day
\nshe met with Dr Ghoul<\/p>\n
who killed her with his scalpel
\nanother low life who
\nmight wear a crisp white apron
\nbut a torturer who would do
\nany operation on a sickly soul who gave
\nin to all this vileness
\nand now lies still in her grave<\/p>\n
at least she is at peace now
\nno more experimentation
\nno more digging in her brain
\nno medical predation
\nRIP means just that
\nand hopefully at last
\nthe rainbow bridge has opened
