\nspiritually complete
\nand the festival
\nan abomination

every animal lover
\naround this globe today
\neven the worst of devils
\nwouldn’t make
\nthose poor souls pay<\/p>\n
with their lives its so churlish
\nregret is how I feel
\nits so terribly wasteful
\nand never could appeal<\/p>\n
5 million people participate
\nits their festival of worth
\nmost are the Madheshi
\nover from the earth<\/p>\n
from Utter Pradesh and Bihar
\nwhere killing animals is banned
\nso they come to this great festival
\nand somehow understand<\/p>\n
sacrificing animals to the Hindu Goddess will
\nend evil and bring prosperity
\nand that is why they kill<\/p>\n
Goats, White Mice and pigeons
\nroosters ducks and swine
\nBuffaloes its more than 2o,ooo in one day
\nall these souls their heads are on the line<\/p>\n
1\/2 a MILLION ANIMALS WILL meet
\ntheir makers here
\ntheir blood will form a river
\nin which the vilest fear<\/p>\n
will rise and fall
\nits shattering
\nthe sacrifice of some
\nin the name of religion
