A forest path has snow compacted snow
\nand freshly blown
\nlooking out for scratch marks on the trees
\nfor there its shown
\nseveral males may be around
\nand the tigers tend to show
\neach other that they are around
\nand clearly in in the know<\/p>\n
its all about survival
\nmaybe 400 left
\nin the wild just that small number
\nthe planet seems bereft
\nof this huge tiger frequenting
\nthe cold Siberian vista
\nforests, mountains heavy snow
\n2 male cubs and their sister<\/p>\n
apparently are on their own
\npoachers have been seen
\nthe tigress probably shot to death
\nwhich has to be an obscene
\nwaste of any female
\nbut this is what we see
\nthe Chinese markets growing
\nand the tigers tragically<\/p>\n
being killed all over
\nTCM requires
\nthe bones the skin the whiskers
\ninside our hearts these fires
\nnow burn amongst the people
\ntrying to protect
\nwhat is left of the tigers
\nand that is why they’ve checked<\/p>\n
the tundra very thoroughly and are searching
\nthe land now
\nlooking for the survivors

\nthere’s no way how
\nthey could survive with their mother killed
\nand no food in them still
\nits a matter of a few hours
\nfor them to survive this chill<\/p>\n
dwarfed by a range of mountains

\ntiger cubs is full on
\nand of course there’s no way back<\/p>\n
Poachers now come into
\nthese areas to kill
\ntheir Chinese masters pay them well
\nclearly the blood they spill
\nis paid back to them handsomely
\nbut the future remains grim
\nwith hardly any female in the reserve
\nto skim<\/p>\n
these forests isn’t easy
\nfor the snows and winds means tracks
\nare covered over rapidly
\nand we have to watch our backs
\nbears sometimes can kill you
\njust attack like that
\neverywhere there is despair
\nthe wild ones would n’t bat<\/p>\n
an eyelid given half the chance
\none thrust and you can lose
\nyour head its clearly dangerous
\nand so most of the crews
\nwalk fast and stay together
\nits how we all survive
\nhanging back in this terrain
\nyou might not stay alive<\/p>\n
the party saved all 3 cubs
\n2 from the north its seems
\nthe other from the east
\nall safe now, and now all the teams
\nare back in base the vodka flows
\nand the next programme must be
\nto find more females if they are here
