Imagine the inhumanity
\nthe fear
\nthe loss of life
\nthe chains that clink and clank all day
\nthe weal’s that show our strife<\/p>\n
inflicted by the working gangs
\nwho beat us every day
\nwho take out their frustration on us
\napparently its their way<\/p>\n
those electric prods are awful
\nthe initial pain, of course
\nthen that snake of electricity
\nthat kind of coursing force<\/p>\n
around our weakening bodies
\nit tingles in our head
\nits vile, its very action
\nis only violence led<\/p>\n
its not like being in the barn
\nwhere the energy is great
\nin the hold its chaos
\nits no place, that I rate<\/p>\n
its close,
\nno air to speak of
\nno light, and just no space
\nwe’re all cooped up together
\nit is one big disgrace<\/p>\n
to be here all that motion
\nof the ship upon the sea
\ngives us all that sickly feel
\nits woeful actually<\/p>\n
the chains continue clanking
\nthe creak of every roll
\nwe all are swept together
\neach and every soul<\/p>\n
standing in each others poop
\nexperiencing the smell
\nit really is unpleasant
\nits as if we’ve gone to hell<\/p>\n
storms come when the swell is high
\nthat’s when we get bruised
\nthat’s when our legs get injured
\nand that’s when we’re refused<\/p>\n
water, and we’re parched we are
\nthe humans do not care
\nthey only know about themselves
\ntowards us they are unfair<\/p>\n
we’re living breathing
\ncaring sentient souls as well
\nyou leave us clad in darkness
\nand you take us into Hell<\/p>\n
but we need food and water too
\nor we will lose our power
\nto stand in positivity
\nreally hour on hour<\/p>\n
it takes a lot of doing
\nmind you we’re practised, we
\nhave suffered in our short lives from man
\nwho frantically<\/p>\n
sees, but cannot understand
\nour predicament at all
\nhe feeds himself
\nwe know that
\nbut fails to hear
\nour call<\/p>\n
again its about profit
\nits better that we’re starved
\nbetter for his margins
\nbut our emotions halved<\/p>\n
its really unsustainable
\nto treat us as they do
\nto prod us with their electric sticks
\nand use expletives too<\/p>\n
it makes no odds
\nit makes no sense
\nbut then what do they know
\n2 legged ass holes, clearly less
\nsentient and so<\/p>\n
we take the stick
\nwe face their rant
\nwe suffer and we see
\nwe’re stuck with all the vileness
\nand negativity<\/p>\n
and our peacefulness just overcomes
\nour docility is our strength
\nour love of life and each other
\non that we walk a length<\/p>\n
live exports are as frightening an
\nexperience for us all
\nnothing on this earth is worse
\nunless of course we fall<\/p>\n
that can be disastrous
\nif we cannot get to stand
\nor another treads upon us
\nit can all get out of hand<\/p>\n
we can then be called a “downer”
\nthat could mean the end
\nall sorts of funny messages
\na “downer” seems to send<\/p>\n
so we must act responsibly
\nour balance to enact
\nkeep our noses clean
\nand not over react<\/p>\n
go to meet our maker
\nwith our heads stuffed full of those
\nmemories that made us what we are
