Today we parked ourselves
\nout in the Aldwych
\nthe Indian Embassy was just in sight
\nAir India reneged on carrying
\nanimals
\nfrom the wilds to the laboratories,
\nthe height<\/p>\n
of arrogance and a lack of true compassion
\nto do this to the earthlings, whose distress
\nis clearly very obvious
\nand its all done for the money
\nhow many rupees
\nfor all that stress?<\/p>\n
and this is why we all dressed
\nup as Beagles in our suits of white
\na doggy face and all
\nstanding there despite the cold
\nengaging in our doggy talk
\nabout Air India big disgrace
\nand confirming they should walk<\/p>\n
Away now from the airline
\nand the reason let them know
\nthus helping Beagles everywhere
\nand primates who might show
\ncaged in holds and shipped
\nfrom here to there and back
\nagain
\nI saw the people’s faces
\nand how their cheeks did drain<\/p>\n
when they realised that Air
\nIndia was at it still
\nand told
\nus now aware
\nthey couldn’t fly
\nand they would not be sold<\/p>\n
there was some dismay
\nand so it was a good idea
\nto so support the cause
\ndressing up as Beagles
\nwith faces and with paws<\/p>\n
I was a talking beagle
\nin dognito I’d become
\nin English and in Chinese
\nno need to feel glum
\nAir India has got to change
\nits awful attitude
\nand tell us they will never carry
\nanimals
\nits crude<\/p>\n
to earn a measly dollar
\nfor torture and for pain
\ndenying them their freedom
\nfor some, a measly gain<\/p>\n
That is why we stood there
\nand made the public see
\nwhat Air India is doing
\nand hopefully they will be<\/p>\n
telling their friends and more friends
\ndon’t travel by AI
\nfor underneath your seat my dears
\nthe animals, they cry<\/p>\n
in cages lost forever
\nthe laboratories to where
\nAir India will take them
