Piglets
\ntiny babies
\njust a few days old
\nchucked about like
\nbags of spuds
\nthat’s before they’re sold
\nthrown by their ears
\ncastrated by
\na bloke with rusty pliers
\ntails docked some even pulled off
\nseeing this
\nthe fires
\nburning deep inside of me
\ngrow hotter by the hour
\ntreating little babies
\nso uncouthly
\nas some cower
\nfrightened in their units
\nand slammed down on the ground
\nbrutal are their injuries
\nand listen to the sound
\nthey make the constant crying
\nthe bleating
\nit just breaks all our hearts
\nof any sentient
\nthat might just be around<\/p>\n
so many little babies
\nare injured badly, they
\nhave smashed up faces
\nbroken bones and sores
\nthat do display
\nthe ugliness that’s commonplace
\nthe meanest injuries
\nits wholesale cruelty going on
\nevery single day<\/p>\n
but why do this to babies
\nthey have done nothing wrong
\nthey have just been born
\n and beaten all along
\nsome won’t make it through the week
\nalready too far gone
\nit really shouldn’t happen
\never now upon<\/p>\n
any farm that looks after
\nits animals, for they
\nare after all what pays the wages
\nand to treat them in this way
\nnot only is it negligence but its
\non a horrid scale
\nthe staff are clearly
\nawful most beyond the pale<\/p>\n
consumers try to boycott
\npork now if you can
\nclearly its ill treated
\nand until there is a ban
\non treating little babies
\nso despicably as these
\nthen the corporates profit
\nperhaps you have to squeeze<\/p>\n
its the only way they are going to change
\notherwise if they
\ncarry on making profits
\nthey think its the right way
\nand all these little piglets
\nare suffering so much
\nso eat less meat and no more pork
