On Jakarta’s streets
\nwhat we see is the game
\nwhere monkeys are dressed in dolls clothes
\nthe same
\na spooky dolls face
\nthen they’re taught to ride bikes
\nscooters and dance
\nand they really look eerie
\nyou just take a glance<\/p>\n
of a white faced macacque
\ndancing under the moon
\nwith a drum on its back
\nlike a little balloon
\nand the tourists agree
\nshow their fascination
\nand do pay to see
\nbut the monkey is ill treated
\ntortured and starved
\nnot given water
\nhis provisions, halved
\nto inducd them to flaunt themselves
\njust everywhere
\nand just keep going
\nuntil real despair
\nsets in, and it does
\nthese primates are weak
\ndehydrated too
\nso not, at their peak<\/p>\n
then there’s’ dogs taught to fight
\nin the blistering heat
\nits very uncomfortable
\nnothing’s discreet
\nthey tears lumps of flesh here and there
\nthere and here
\nand again tourists love it
\nthe grot and the fear<\/p>\n
Doll Monkeys dance
\nthey parade in a ring
\nstep to one side
\nthen step back again
\nand many a screwed to the ground
\non a chain
\nthey can’t go anywhere
\nthey are sort of impaled
\nprisoners really
