Animals do not do tricks
\nwhy should they anyway
\nto entertain the public
\nwho come along and pay
\nall this bloody nonsense
\nits clear there’s cruelty
\nthe show is charged. you can feel it

the monkeys kept in cages
\nchained up everyday
\nlet out to begin the work
\nto practice, the dismay
\nthe severity of punishment
\nwhen a trick is not done well
\nthe vigorousness of the trainer
\na storminess in his voice
\nhis roughness and his ferment
\nthe monkeys have no choice
\nbut do it or be punished
\nand the punishment is severe
\nhe’s a fire brand of a character
\ninstilling in them fear
\nbeating them about the head
\nuntil they chirp and cry
\nbashing them repeatedly with a stick
\nask yourself why
\nthe monkey has to do it
\nput up with it for he
\nwill be beaten,squeezed
\nand thrown about so spiteful
\nwe can see
\nfrustration from the trainer
\nWHAT a grim faced steely shit
\na sadistic nasty bit of work
\nwho clearly isn’t fit
\nfor purpose in this scenario
\nan inhuman violent cad
\nill natured cussing all the time
\nand altogether mad
\nno pity in his bosom
\na hardness in his soul
\nhanging on a chain he’s beaten
\nthe man has the control
\nso callous its relentless
\nthe punishment is hard
\nsmashed and crushed upon the floor
\nthis poor monkey is scarred
\nit becomes a battle
\na dry eyed hardened git
\nwho left that monkey
\nmotionless clearly hurt
\na fit
\nof rage
\nrelentless cruelty
\nand this is what it takes
\nto get wild monkeys
\ndoing stupid tricks
\njust circus fakes<\/p>\n
Circus and wild animals
\nshould never ever be
\nin fact no animals ever
\nthe sawdust ring should see
\nits bad enough for humans
\nto work this place each day
\nbut using animals to do it
\nis a price too high to pay<\/p>\n
and where they are kept
\nis terrible. chained in a tiny cage
\nyou can hear the terror in their cries
\nits really hard to gauge
\nhow humanity is up to this
\nthe venomous display
\nKangaroos and Ostriches
\nand Poodles, all I say<\/p>\n
are given such a hard time
\nthe torture grabs the soul
\nanyone with any heart
\njust take on that role
\nfeel it, smell it, realise
\nthe blood loss and the tears
\nhow offensive and how virulent
\nand it can go on for years<\/p>\n
Moscow circus somehow showed

\na little glimpse of life
\na session with the trainer
\na monkey in such strife
\nprepared just hoping for a pat
\na stroke and willing to
\nsubject itself to torment
\nfrom any of the crew<\/p>\n
one felt so much for its happening
\nbehind closed doors, we know
\nthe torture and the mayhem
\nand the bleeding and the flow
\nof evil its transgresses boundaries
\nevery single day
\nthis is circus after all
\nthis is how they pay<\/p>\n
and many a soul is beaten
\nlays down and wants to die
\ninstinctively the jungle
\nin the tall trees they were high
\non fruits and all that freedom
\nbut now locked in some cage
\nindignant of the treatment
\nthat just comes with the age<\/p>\n
I just cannot now bring myself
\nto understand it, we
\nas children saw the circus
\ncome to town
\nand probably
\nfelt inside excitement
\nbut now in later years
\nunderstand how sordid
\nhow vile it all appears<\/p>\n
this hooligan whoever he is
\nshould now be found
\nand beaten to a fucking pulp
\nand trod on on the ground
\nchain him up
\nand toss him in a smelly little cage
\nand let him feel how terrible
\nit is lets quell his rage<\/p>\n
thinking what he handed out
\nto those monkeys what he shared
\nhis violence and his terror
\nfor them I felt so scared
\na brute a root of evil
\nand that kangaroo its face
\nand all created tragically
\nby part of the human race<\/p>\n
every single creature
\ninvolved in circus does
\nsuffer and its tougher
\nits a total disgrace
\ncircus has to be closed down
\nI cannot bear to see
\nor know what’s happening
\nto them, its too much actually<\/p>\n
humans must not do this
\ntrainers being paid
\nto dole out their expletives
\neach foul mouthed vulgar raid
\nin the minds of children
\ncorrupted by their threats
\nfrightened by their menace
\nfor me it really gets
\ndeep into my psyche
\nand tortures me to death
\nI cry so many cold wet tears
\nand suffer with my breath<\/p>\n
its shocking to just look at this
\nthe violence is too much
\nhow these animals take is all
\nand audiences as such
\nare unaware of all of this
\nimagining the souls
\nlove to do these tricks for them
\nlove acting out these roles<\/p>\n
such ignorance from people
\nunfeeling in their core
\nby visiting their circus
\nof course there is more and more
\nterror thrust into the hearts and minds
\nof all those who
\nwitness how the tricks are staged
\nand what the trainers do<\/p>\n
I feel inside a sickness
\nmy heart is pumping so
\nI want to go and vomit
\nthis is not a show
\nthis is a vile expression
