The Indian Dairy Industry
\nproduces vast amounts
\nfar more than America
\nand China
\nit accounts<\/p>\n
for millions of tonnes
\nper annum
\nits vast, this industry
\nbut the animals within it
\nface the starkest misery<\/p>\n
India is very hot
\nand flies are everywhere
\nfor cows to give milk all the time
\nclearly they must share
\ntheir bodies with
\ninsemination techniques
\notherwise
\nthey wouldn’t be made pregnant
\nand couldn’t realise<\/p>\n
the potential
\nso these barefoot people
\ncome and do their stuff
\nfilthy dirty handlers
\nvile and very rough
\npush their fists into
\na cows vagina
\nand that pain
\nis repeated and repeated
\ntime and time again<\/p>\n
those cows bleed
\nand they scream out
\nbut nothings done at all
\nclearly they are beside themselves
\nthey are going up the wall
\nbut no body takes notice
\nthey carry on all day
\ncows lactate and are pregnant
\nits has to be the way<\/p>\n
chained up by their necks
\nwhich cause really running sores
\nwith all that heat
\nand clouds of flies
\nit breaks all the laws<\/p>\n
of strength and awesome fortitude
\nthat these souls manage through
\nstanding in their own shit
\nand laying in it too
\nno one comes to clean them
\nno one really cares
\nthey are only milk machines
\nand confinement often tears<\/p>\n
their skin and so wounds
\ndo become infected and are sore
\ntheir udders do get damaged
\nand often are red raw
\nthe pain of putting sucking devices
\nas they do
\nsucking on these red raw wounds
\nso pus is sucked in too<\/p>\n
the milk it must be awful
\nthose cows in abject pain
\nand this a daily exercise
\nall that gloom and strain
\nand nothings ever sterilized
\nno anaesthetics used
\nthese cows are being tortured
\nand regularly abused<\/p>\n
its part of their existence
\nit has to be the way
\nthere are no staff available
\nto clean their shit away
\nnew born lay dead rotting
\nyou can’t imagine how
\nan industry can carry on
\nwith no love for the cow<\/p>\n
caws are lame
\nchained by the neck
\nthey cannot move at all
\nthey cannot scratch
\nthe cannot sit
\nthis really does appal
\nanyone that witnesses
\nthe bedlam that is here
\nthe illegal use of oxytocin
\nblack market use is clear<\/p>\n
stomach cramps get so severe
\nagain the cows just cry
\nthey bellow through it
\nhoping I suppose if they could die
\nand just forget their lives on earth
\nfor clearly what we do
\nis present to them
\na life of hell
\na vile encrusted view<\/p>\n
when they are finished milking
\nthey are tossed out on the street
\nto fend off cars and lorries
\nothers will compete
\non the death march to another
\nstate where cows can then be killed
\nroped together through their noses
\nand again their blood is spilled<\/p>\n
in the vilest slaughterhouses
\ndirty and forlorn
\ntheir throats are hacked with the bluntest knives
\nnot fed at all
\n why born?
\nfor this is ramped up horror
\njust blood and guts and gore
\nthis is the vilest industry
\nthat no one’s seen before<\/p>\n
chilli peppers rubbed in their eyes
\nto make them walk all day
\nanimals are subjected to
\nthe ugliest display
\nof cruelty imaginable
\none wonders why they won’t
\nsink upon their wretched knees
\nbut many truly don’t<\/p>\n
they seem to know their fate
\nand they go quietly to their death
\neverywhere is toxic
\neven their rancid breath
\nmanhandled off of vehicles
\nmany broken bones
\nto hear their cries
\ntheir mutterings
\ntheir haunting moans and groans<\/p>\n
that cut into the psyche
\nthat grab the spirit and
\nnever leave the memory
\ncould we start to understand
\nwhat they must feel about us
\ntheir feelings must be strong
\ndocility their facility
\nbut to me, we are so wrong<\/p>\n
these are sentient wondrous beings
\nthey can fully comprehend
\nbut they do not get a look in
\na pat, we are no friend
\nof there’s we are their enemies
\nthey suffer at our hand
\nall through their lives
\nits torture
\nhow can they understand<\/p>\n
the reason why we do it
\nthe economy of scale
\nthe end user if they saw this
\nI am certain they’d go pale
\nand never drink this product
\nthe agony the abuse
\nthe evil and the terror
\nthat is clearly now out loose<\/p>\n
conditions are just dreadful
\nits miraculous to me
\nthat the trade has not
\nexperienced epidemics
\nand my plea
\non behalf of all of them
\nparticipants is please
\nstop taking milk in India
\nkulfi yogurt and cheese..<\/p>\n
for karma must be awesome
\nwaiting in the wings
\nlistening to the tabla

\nand those creature’s fate
