Grotesquely transformed
\nin the tiniest cage
\nthe moon bear has come through
\nwhat ought to enrage
\nher spirit
\nand now in repulsive repose
\nshe’s lost in the rust of the wire
\nthat just grows<\/p>\n
sore and half broken
\nunable to rise
\naching so much
\njust to now realise
\nthe freedom once one had
\nthe forest the roar
\nbut now purgatory
\nand a bit more<\/p>\n
the sick daily sojourn
\nof milking my bile
\nmy sore is infected
\nhow they defile<\/p>\n
why am I still
\nin this dark dirty hole
\nwith nobody out there
\nprepared to console<\/p>\n
or pat me or smile
\nno one at all
\njust agony and sickness
\nthey both come to call
\nI am a moon bear
\npreparing to fall
\ninto the abyss
\nwhere some spirits evolve
\ndown in the depths
\nmy future to solve<\/p>\n
Vietnam’s current sojourn
\nIs closeting the bears
\nTerrible stress
\nReally it scares
\nThe life out of me
\nThat humans still do
\nMilk bile from bears
\nWhich they still do
\nOpen and keep open
\nWounds so that they
\ncan milk off the bile
\nNow everyday
\nRecently 4 Bears did
\nAt cacao trang
\nReally they do have to be
\nNow among<\/p>\n
The most unfortunate souls
\nThey died in ha long
\nDied of starvation
