The galling business<\/a> and the realization
\nOf getting back from a war zone fought abroad
\nIn some hell hole in some small town out yonder
\nTo find one’s health is ailing that reward
\nFor being caught up in what was the mayhem
\nEmotionally now shot away and sad
\nSleep interrupted, by nightmarish flashbacks
\nFor let it be clear somethings there were bad<\/p>\n

What really grips my soul right at this moment
\nWas the use made of Du Weaponry, for we
\nWere slam bang in the middle of some fire fights
\nAnd clearly it had an affect on me
\nRadiation, particulates it was a sad affair
\nClawing at my sense of purpose
\nAs every one does care
\nGulf War Syndrome call it what you will
\nit matters not
\nAnd for anyone to say there was no problem
\nthanks a lot<\/p>\n

Soldiers who know otherwise,who saw, who heard, who felt
\nThe weight of war upon them as in the dark they knelt
\nTo share what affirmations, what prayers they felt inside
\nFor returning relatively unscathed it must not be denied
\nWe are hurting,we are human, afterall we suffer pain
\nWe are awash at night with tears
\nwas it all invain?
\nThere were no weapons of mass destruction
\nthe war was infact was\u00a0 wrong
\nDepleted Uranium piercing shells
\njust did not belong<\/p>\n

in that closed scenario and some nights when I am alone
\nI accept I was a guinea pig and I do hear myself groan
\nThe parameters of conflict were widened appreciably
\nAnd I must ponder on this thought into infinity
\nIts a dialogue that I have with myself
\nmost everyday
