\nhow foie gras farmers process
\ntheir birds and somehow bring
\ntheir livers that’s deep down inside
\ntheir bodies to a size
\nten times greater than it was
\n3 weeks before it dies<\/p>\n
I mean this is irregular
\ndisproportionate and wrong
\nif the bird had been mean’t to
\nhave a liver this size
\nall along
\ncreation would have done this
\nand to think that to use gavage
\nforce feeding them to do it
\nso the liver would enlarge<\/p>\n
is tantamount to the most
\ngrotesque thing, anyone could do
\nit tears their throats to pieces
\ncaged upright how we screw
\nthe life force out of innocence
\nthey have done nothing wrong
\nand its all about our profit
\nand where does that belong<\/p>\n
in the process of gratuitous
\nviolence which is what we use
\nthese are sentient creatures
\nwhy do we abuse
\nthey feel the pain of thrusting
\ntubes of corn fat down their throat
\nfor 3 weeks they taste agony
\nas their bodies start to bloat<\/p>\n
as their livers squash their rib cage
\nand balloon into their lungs
\ntheir breathing becomes laboured
\nas on their final rungs
\nof life still the feeding frenzy
\nit creates in them such ill
\nsuch agony such woefulness
\nand in this state
\nwe still fill
\ntheir bodies and keep filling
\nthe feeling must be so
\nawful they’re at deaths door
\nand feeling themselves grow<\/p>\n
standing upright in that cage
\nthey cannot rest at all
\nthey cannot move or lay or sit
\nthis feeling does appal
\nany thinking person
\nanyone who cares
\nanyone who realises
\nthe state of affairs<\/p>\n
The Egyptians may have mooted
\nthe Goose was good to eat
\nbut down the ages
\nsome gourmand sod
\nreally did unseat
\nsuch vileness
\njust so nasty a method
\nif you ask me
\nand the fact that its continued
\ncreates depravity<\/p>\n
Foie gras is purely hell on earth
\nto consume this vile disease
\nis like asking for the universe
\nto accept your sick reprise
\naccept it and just run with it
\nbut nobody alive
\nis prepared to let this happen
\nthe geese they must survive<\/p>\n
we have to ban this insult
\nfor a foodstuff right away
\nthese poor birds go through agony
\ntheir tears they do display
\nmany die drop dead from all the
\nsickness that they feel
\nand its to make some pate
