{"id":8381,"date":"2013-05-11T09:36:14","date_gmt":"2013-05-11T09:36:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=8381"},"modified":"2013-05-11T12:09:57","modified_gmt":"2013-05-11T12:09:57","slug":"tryheron-sykotom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2013\/05\/tryheron-sykotom\/","title":{"rendered":"Tryheron sykotom (Foie Gras)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I heard it came from Egypt<br \/>\nthose Pharaoh&#8217;s loved their geese<br \/>\nbut the concept of creating<br \/>\nwhat to me is a release<br \/>\nof unbelievable logic<br \/>\nhorrific at its root<br \/>\na fatty diseased liver<br \/>\nconceived, by some brute<\/p>\n<p>no one in their right mind<br \/>\ncould imagine such a thing<br \/>\nhow foie gras farmers process<br \/>\ntheir birds and somehow bring<br \/>\ntheir livers that&#8217;s deep down inside<br \/>\ntheir bodies to a size<br \/>\nten times greater than it was<br \/>\n3 weeks before it dies<\/p>\n<p>I mean this is irregular<br \/>\ndisproportionate and wrong<br \/>\nif the bird had been mean&#8217;t to<br \/>\nhave a liver this size<br \/>\nall along<br \/>\ncreation would have done this<br \/>\nand to think that to use gavage<br \/>\nforce feeding them to do it<br \/>\nso the liver would enlarge<\/p>\n<p>is tantamount to the most<br \/>\ngrotesque thing, anyone could do<br \/>\nit tears their throats to pieces<br \/>\ncaged upright how we screw<br \/>\nthe life force out of innocence<br \/>\nthey have done nothing wrong<br \/>\nand its all about our profit<br \/>\nand where does that belong<\/p>\n<p>in the process of gratuitous<br \/>\nviolence which is what we use<br \/>\nthese are sentient creatures<br \/>\nwhy do we abuse<br \/>\nthey feel the pain of thrusting<br \/>\ntubes of corn fat down their throat<br \/>\nfor 3 weeks they taste agony<br \/>\nas their bodies start to bloat<\/p>\n<p>as their livers squash their rib cage<br \/>\nand balloon into their lungs<br \/>\ntheir breathing becomes laboured<br \/>\nas on their final rungs<br \/>\nof life still the feeding frenzy<br \/>\nit creates in them such ill<br \/>\nsuch agony such woefulness<br \/>\nand in this state<br \/>\nwe still fill<br \/>\ntheir bodies and keep filling<br \/>\nthe feeling must be so<br \/>\nawful they&#8217;re at deaths door<br \/>\nand feeling themselves grow<\/p>\n<p>standing upright in that cage<br \/>\nthey cannot rest at all<br \/>\nthey cannot move or lay or sit<br \/>\nthis feeling does appal<br \/>\nany thinking person<br \/>\nanyone who cares<br \/>\nanyone who realises<br \/>\nthe state of affairs<\/p>\n<p>The Egyptians may have mooted<br \/>\nthe Goose was good to eat<br \/>\nbut down the ages<br \/>\nsome gourmand sod<br \/>\nreally did unseat<br \/>\nsuch vileness<br \/>\njust so nasty a method<br \/>\nif you ask me<br \/>\nand the fact that its continued<br \/>\ncreates depravity<\/p>\n<p>Foie gras is purely hell on earth<br \/>\nto consume this vile disease<br \/>\nis like asking for the universe<br \/>\nto accept your sick reprise<br \/>\naccept it and just run with it<br \/>\nbut nobody alive<br \/>\nis prepared to let this happen<br \/>\nthe geese they must survive<\/p>\n<p>we have to ban this insult<br \/>\nfor a foodstuff right away<br \/>\nthese poor birds go through agony<br \/>\ntheir tears they do display<br \/>\nmany die drop dead from all the<br \/>\nsickness that they feel<br \/>\nand its to make some pate<br \/>\nmy god you lot get real!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I heard it came from Egypt those Pharaoh&#8217;s loved their geese but the concept of creating what to me is a release of unbelievable logic horrific at its root a fatty diseased liver conceived, by some brute no one in &hellip;
