\nLive Exports are a misnomer, for clearly they
\nassume that regulations are adhered to
\nwhen its very obvious there is no way
\nanimals should ever be transported
\nand manhandled as to do this is so wrong
\nGoats are independent loving creatures
\nthey think through all scenario’s
\nand their will is very strong
\nso very soon they feel they are abandoned
\ntheir deep gut wrenching cries
\nare to this end
\nwhat ever Mr Ludwig thinks of the 99%
\nthe cries around the world
\nare set to send
\nhim and all his government
\nto bed at night realising dreams
\nwere mean’t to be
\nbut what we see is really very obvious
\nnightmares and they are coming
\nconstantly
\nyou cannot be dismissive of animal cruelty
\npeople who care will just not stand to see
\nthis trade exposes torture of such a blatant
\nnature
\nits insensitive therefore to disagree
\nI cannot for the life of me
\nimagine
\nhow farmers have the gall to
\nrun this trade
\nto send their charges far away to slaughter
\nand refuse to hear the alarm bells being laid
\nI have written about the Middle East

\nthey showed clearly why this trade is wrong

\npicked up off the docks and thrown in sacks
\nand car boots where none of them belong
\nthis is not the way to treat an animal
\nthat’s just been shipped so far across the sea
\nits very clear to them they will be slaughtered
\nat home somewhere who knows where that will be
\nwhat regulations therefore for the killings
\nthose animals are sensitive, they know
\nwe cannot wash our hands of what is happening

\nclearly they do lack
\ncommon decency as much as heart felt thoughts

\nare intelligent enough to know
\nlife is slipping away
\nthey are going to be slaughtered
\nthe fear will grow and grow
\nthese animals are Australian
\nbut you do not want to know
\nthis isn’t how you do it

\nif you deal in live animals
\nand ship them very far

\nnot to have the equivalence on welfare

\nthey have a safe passage all the way
\nseeing them slaughtered on the street
\nor thrown in car boots in that heat
\nwhy on earth should animals have to pay
\nthis price and all this terror to their psyche
\nwhat gives you the right to wash your hands
\nand leave these souls to face the final curtain
\nwith their precious blood collected in tin pans
\nthese golden eyed ruminants need looking after, they
\nshould expect a decent crossing
\nand some food along the way
\nno one expects torture

\nI don’t care who or what you are
\nI know what I hear
\nand those souls were unhappy
\nthey knew, they are sentient, they
\nand clearly they are left out there

\npurposefully for they

\nwelfare standards have to be
\nhigher than we saw

\nthey will not ignore
\neveryone is telling you in no uncertain terms
\nthat where the cameras have been sent
\nits a great big can of worms
\nand letting down those animals

\nfor allowing them
\nto be shipped across the sea

\nIs simply not acceptable
