Threadbare battery chickens
\ngiven a chance, again
\njust look at these poor creatures
\nthey have endured such pain
\nfreedom was not an option
\nthe cage was all they knew
\nprisoners so tortured
\ndesigned for someone’s stew<\/p>\n
they were treated as if nothing
\nnot given any chance
\nbrutalised and desensitised
\nnot given a second glance
\nbut in point of fact these chickens
\nsensitivity
\nwas greater than the corporates
\nwas ever likely to be<\/p>\n
for their so called mentality
\nhas been consumed by power
\nby worms that feed
\non the brains and hearts
\nand do this hour on hour
\nthey haven’t got a clue about
\nearthlng’s they won’t start
\nto understand what sentient means
\nbecause they lost all heart<\/p>\n
they are a bunch of loonies
\ncausing hurt where ere they go
\nthese chickens give is all some hope
\nfor they still seem in the flow
\nrescued from those sin bins
\nand offered freedom, they
\nseem positive and happy
\nas they go about each day<\/p>\n
