\nhit the dust each year
\ndeep brain probing
\ndoesn’t that sound ominous
\ngood bye to 5 sweet Marmosets
\nthe fear<\/p>\n
engendered in these souls
\nmust have been terrible
\nfarewell to these dear Marmosets
\noperated on and gone forever
\nimagine 5 karmic debts
\naccruing
\neach one afterall
\npoles
\napart from humans
\nthat is to say their
\nactual brains
\nwere never going to be
\nthe
\nsame as ours
\nbut sadly it didn’t matter
\nthe experiments went on
\ntheir souls are free<\/p>\n
animals are the voiceless
\nthey come and of course
\nthey’re gone
\ntheir little lives
\nwere wasted
\nin the sun that shone
\nthey would have loved to be there
\nwhere creation put them they
\nwhere they just felt happy
\ntill man stole them away<\/p>\n
to where the scalpels sparkle
\nwhere the cages were
\nexchanging paradise for hell
\nthat’s what did occur<\/p>\n
I don’t know how they felt
\nto be experiments
\nbut I
\nimagine they were beside themselves
\nrealising why
\nthey’d become the patients
\nthough not given any choice
\nsuffering the greatest loss of all
\nwithout a voice<\/p>\n
The rainbow bridge
\nthey climb on now
\nbeneath a sparkling stream
\nun caged at last
\nthoughts of their past
\napparently a dream
\nthere were other technologies
\napparently that could
\nhave been used I am hearing
\nand perhaps really they should
\nhave been used rather
\nthan take primates
\nand consign them to
\na final resting place
\nand now I beg of you<\/p>\n
do not kill more primates
\nPlease just let them be
\nleave them where creation put them
\nin some forest tree<\/p>\n
