\nCorporations rule the roost
\nWe all feel, we’re hurled
\ninto this fearful maelstrom
\nchildren one by one
\nfed on all these processed foods
\nwith sugar by the tonne<\/p>\n
Hydrogenated fats
\nand, E Numbers galore
\nThe Corporates make
\ntheir killing
\nAnd we want more and more
\nWhite rice and white sugar
\nAll the rotten stuff
\nColoured sweets and
\ncarbonated drinks
\nCan’t get enough!<\/p>\n
Big machines in schools
\nflogging all this shit
\nso we become obese,
\nit just don’t cease
\nyea we’re not fit
\nIts everywhere you see it
\nIn A & E loads there
\nPacked with that aspartame
\nit makes me fat, I swear<\/p>\n
The teachers in the school
\ndon’t care
\nmy mum and dad don’t know
\nThey watch Eastenders
\nevery night and the
\ncola drinks just flow
\nWe have bags of crisps
\nand puddings and dairy
\nproducts, we
\nHave childrens vitamins
\nevery day and aspartame you can see<\/p>\n
its on the label, on the bottle mum says that we should
\nif it is in the vitamins
\nmum says it is good
\nAdvertising everywhere
\nits given out at school,
\nand when I said I thought
\nit made me fat
\nI was called a fool<\/p>\n
The stuff comes from America
\nand so it must be good
\nI thought I’d check the internet
\nbecause I thought I should
\nAnd there I saw some
\nstories that the
\nartificial stuff
\nwas horrible, was evil
\nand did make people rough<\/p>\n
Articles on brain tumours
\na big boil in your head
\nI thought that don’t sound healthy and looked some more
\nwhich led
\nMe further down the road
\nand I discovered that this stuff
\nwas a biochemical warfare agent
\nChrist I’d had enough<\/p>\n
Why was it in my vitamins
\nWhy was it my drink
\nWhy were they selling it at school
\nAnd in hospital, the link
\nWas clear a little research on the internet
\nand I knew
\nThat aspartame was a shocker and it wasn’t good for you<\/p>\n
But the big boys spent their money
\nthey advertised it well
\nThe Cola drinks and the cakes and sweets
\nIts what the shops then sell
\nAnd mum bought it in Tesco’s every time she went
\nThey even sold it in the garage pounds and pounds we’ve spent<\/p>\n
Buying what may turn out
\nto soon affect my brain
\nIts funny Dad is always
\nmoaning that his head. aches again
\nHe’s got Tinnitus
\nand he’s still so young
\nand he gets a shooting pain
\nUp is legs and up his back and it could be aspartame<\/p>\n
So now I will not
\ndrink the stuff,
\nI will not eat the cakes
\nI told mum
\nthere are better vitamins
\nmore expensive makes
\nI read that monkleys given it
\nhad died and some went mad
\nWith epilepsy or something
\nand I did, I did feel sad<\/p>\n
And mice babies developed
\nholes inside their brain
\nand all this stuff had not come out
\nwhich I thought was a pain
\nI printed off the pages
\nand took them into school
\nMy teacher told me clearly
\nthis was written by some fool<\/p>\n
Its a minefield and there
\nare minefields, for kid’s like me you know
\nIts in our magazines, on telly and in the cinema where I go
\nIts everywhere aspartame and real hard to avoid
\nBut I don’t want a tumour in my brain, and I’m annoyed<\/p>\n
That nobody can help me
\nnobody at all
\nEven the nurse who looks
\nfor lice, she drinks it at school
\nSo if Teachers do it, and Nurses do it, and parents do it, then we
\nKid’s who don’t know nothing what chance can there be?<\/p>\n
