In India and China Womanhood appears
\nto still be in the doldrums
\nits shadow through the years
\ncast across the spectrum
\ndaughters thought to be
\na drain on the families overall
\ntrue prosperity
\nlike a mushroom cloud it surfaced
\nin the dark ages before
\nand carried on polluting
\nthe minds, thus at the core
\nof every birth and marriage
\ndaughters realised
\nthat pressure was apparent
\nthey were disenfranchised
\nthis outmoded cerebration
\nof the a patriarchy state
\nthe female of the species
\nwas easy to berate
\ndiscrimination followed
\nand really till today
\nthe underlying problems
\nthey haven’t gone away
\nwe all know many million
\nwere done away with, they
\nslaughtered by their mothers
\nthey just were cast away
\na sick soulless decision
\nbased on inaccuracies
\non prejudice and evil
\nwhich few dared to appease
\nand so their timeless value
\nwas lost and so to say
\nis still lost for humanity
\nhas yet to find a way
\nrape and molestation
\nhappens every day
\na vile crime oft of passion
\nof anger and dismay
\nbut sadly in many cases
\nthe victim suffers so
\nand the perpetrators
\ndo not receive the sentence
\nthat does go
\nwith the crime that was committed
\nthe victim has to be
\nsubjected to such abject pain
\nand also scrutiny
\nrecently some headline cases
\nwent viral and we know
\nhow terrible were these attacks
\nsuch venom it did flow
\nauthority still weighted
\nagainst the female force
\nits not seen as expedient
\nit kind of takes its course
\nand causes pain to victims
\nand embarrassment and they
\nare seemingly then tainted
\nby the system so to say
\nrecently a 5 year old
\nhas fallen victim to
\na savage and a vile attack
\na parlous and dire brew
\nthere are no words to
\nreally describe this evil act
\nand of course all thinking people
\nrapidly react
\nto clearly what’s obnoxious
\nbut hanging in the air
\nis still this sick miasma
\nwith thick clouds of despair
\nwomanhood has value
\nour mothers are our world
\ntheir sacrifice is so immense
\nwithout their love we’re hurled
\nheadlong into being
\ntheir mindfulness their care
\nthey are the mortar
\ngiving strength
\nto everything out there
\nrespect and love is paramount
\nequality of thought
\nthe maiden and the mother
\nshe has always taught
\nus all to know our place in life
\nher guidance and her soul
\nwithout her in our lives
\nto be our shadow and control
\nall would be less able
\nand thus we dare not forget
\nor pass up what her value is
\nand ever truly let
\nher power be taken from her
\na victim she is not
\nwomen hood is for the good
\nfor really we have got
\na perfect and a faultless soul
\nwho nurtures and who shares
\ntirelessly she works away
\nand tragically she bears
\na great deal of the stresses
\nbut is undervalued by
\nthe systems now in place out there
\nand she’s right, to ask why<\/p>\n
The killing of girl babies
\nis a heinous crime and, we
\nas human beings everywhere
\nmust stop this and agree
\nthose patriarchal prejudices
\nmust be buried instantly
\nrespect love and protection
\nand equality of soul
\nhas to now be given
\nto all those who fit this role
\nnever underestimate
\nthe power of womankind
\ntheir quality and reasoning
\nis the most balanced
