\nthe carer and the nurtured

\nthey generally are the mother
\nof our universe
\na soul
\nwho cares and feeds and loves all
\noff spring

I don’t see them as hunters
\nlying in wait for
\nsome other mothers cherished
\nchildren
\nto me I’m just not sure
\nwomen shouldn’t be there
\namongst the blood and snot
\ncreation our salvation
\nits what a women’s got<\/p>\n
so dressing up in camouflage
\nand stealing in to kill
\nan animal with a weapon
\nits precious blood to spill
\nits fur to strip
\nits guts to tear
\nto me a women she
\nshe would scare
\nthe living daylights
\nreally out of me<\/p>\n
to have fallen into
\nquite as much as that
\ninto the ways of man
\nhow can that be nurturing
\nits not part of the plan
\nand then to manufacture
\nwomen’s bows and arrows
\nsomehow I don’t honestly think
\nits on the straight and narrows <\/p>\n
its widening the marketplace
\nhelping margins rise
\npink and purple arrows
\nand some bling as a surprise
\nto my mind its unnatural
\nits not what I’d expect
\nno vision brought from woman hood
\nits hard now to detect<\/p>\n
the purity, the carer
\nthe sharer, for it seems to me
\nby upping the aggression
\ntheres a liabilty
\nby mimicking the man
\nand going into places where
\nhe goes to slaughter and to butcher
\nits just a nightmare<\/p>\n
already men are getting stick
\nfor the violence that abounds
\ntrophy and big game are being slaughtered
\nand the sounds
\nof screaming from the outback
\nthrough the desert to the sea
\nwith more than its share of torture
\nand slaughter of the free<\/p>\n
and now to see young children
\nand ladies on the case
\ntaking out those living souls
\ncutting to the chase
\nfiring guns and letting fly
\nthe arrows that will kill
