We’ve all seen the hunt
\nit happens each year
\nwhere louts come along
\nwith sticks and appear
\nto smash little babies
\nall over the place
\nand this is called hunting
\nits just a disgrace
\nif one person did it
\nout in the street
\nthe police would come running
\nthat’s if he beat
\na dog or cat or mouse even he
\nwould get a thick ear
\nand they’d keep the key
\nbut out in Newfoundland
\nall you have to do
\nis dress up in a boiler suit
\npreferably blue
\npick up a stick
\nand just start thrashing away
\nthey pay you per pelt
\nwhite pink or grey
\nas the dear babies scream
\nand the skins are ripped off
\nits like some sick dream
\nthe Govennment say its the best thing
\nto do
\nand export the skins
\nand seemingly view
\nthe fish stocks are bountiful
\neveryone’s pleased
\nexcept the seal babies
\nwhose brains have been squeezed
\nout of their heads an onto the ice
\nwhich I for one think
\nis not bloody nice
\nCanaDA what you do it makes me sick
\nusing these louts with a ruddy great stick
\nto beat up young pups
\nand leave them to cry
\nleave them to rot
\nleave them to die
\nCanada honest what you do here
\nis spread far and wide
\nyour own special fear<\/p>\n
the political claptrap<\/p>\n
thats become your excuse<\/p>\n
for murder its rampany<\/p>\n
its awful abuse<\/p>\n
fishermen ‘s dod stocks<\/p>\n
have nothing to do<\/p>\n
with seals thats a fact<\/p>\n
you haven’t a clue<\/p>\n
and now you best think<\/p>\n
for the worlds on your case<\/p>\n
your murdering ways<\/p>\n
you had better brace<\/p>\n
yourselves for the backlash<\/p>\n
thats coming your way<\/p>\n
when Europe starts boycotting<\/p>\n
you<\/p>\n
and I’d say<\/p>\n
all your seal products<\/p>\n
are banned from our shores<\/p>\n
