The Brothers of Nari
\nWent out on a starry
\nEvening, to hunt for a Deer
\nThe pack had not eaten for 3 days
\nAnd it was now, abundantly clear
\nThere was genuine hunger
\nThe pups were all edgy
\nAnd we Brothers were charged really to
\nSort out some food for the family
\nAnd just do what we had to do<\/p>\n
Lone Wolf was an excellent stalker
\nHis patience was second to none
\nHe could walk over leaves and not make a sound
\nTensely each slow motion run
\nWas remarkable, Me
\nI was clumsy, and even a human might hear
\nif I trod on a twig, not because I was big but the sounds that it made to the ear
\nSo Lone went ahead,with his ears cocked, he led
\nThe way to the Lakota Camp, over the stream where their ancestors dream
\nAnd into Blakes Ranch House instead<\/p>\n
Why run for a deer when there’s so few round here
\nAnd the ranch had fresh lambs in the field
\nTrue there were guns
\nOld Blake had 3 sons
\nAnd both lone and me we did fear
\nHow the great firesticks bite
\nIn the dead of the night
\nBut we stole into that field
\nand we
\nTook a nice big fat Sheep
\nWithout as much as a peep
\nAnd dragged it away rapidly
\nThat old dog of there’s
\nBarked its head off
\nour prayers
\nwere answered
\nfor we got away
\nUp past the camp and onto our cave
\nTogether we had saved the day
\nAnd that grass fed sheep tasted lovely
\nTo see our sweet pups in repose
\nWe laid down to dream
\nYea we make a good team
