The sordid, unforgiving
\ntreatment metered out to living souls
\nwho happen to be acting out their
\nsad lives in the many roles
\nwe have deemed to create for them
\nin CAFO’s where they
\nlive their miserable incarnations
\nand are made to pay<\/p>\n
for our profit led economy
\nand the margins we create
\ncorporate strength and stability
\nthat might otherwise negate
\nno truer state of affluence
\nand so now what we see
\nare the animals we use for food
\ntheir lives are purgatory<\/p>\n
so doom filled
\nso unnatural
\nso dark laden with despair
\nthe mothers writhe in
\ngestation crates
\nand their babies go no where
\nthey are tortured as they enter
\nthe life stream for they will
\nhave their tails snipped off
\ntheir teeth cut back
\nand from the males more
\nblood will spill<\/p>\n
as their testicles are simply
\npulled away
\nby a labourer with his greasy pliers
\nthe surgeon of the day
\nhe doesn’t have a scalpel
\nanaesthetic or a mask
\nhe’s in the business of saving money
\nso what more can we ask<\/p>\n
the babies live in jeopardy
\ninfections can become
\nserious for all of them
\nand terrible for some
\nthey re enter reality
\nmade complex by the woe
\nand shock to any system
\nthat they are forced to undergo<\/p>\n
such torture and such agony
\nits violence now that brings
\nus humans to our senses
\nif we’re watching from the wings
\nif we sit and watch those video’s
\nrather than turn away
\nif we sign up on petitions
\nand on face book we pay<\/p>\n
attention to the crimes of man
\nin CAFO’s everywhere
\nwhere profit is the key word
\nbut where animal despair
\nis now at truly an all time high
\nit’s an evil path we tread
\nas carnivores now on all fours
