\nhaving travelled more miles there

\nKangaroos are being slaughtered
\nall the time
\nrestaurants mostly serve their flesh with toast<\/p>\n
I booked out of two hotels who had
\nwild meat on the menu
\nthey thought I was mad, perhaps I was
\nbut they are such
\ninsensitive creatures
\nthe hotel managers I mean
\nreally up the top
\nwell just because<\/p>\n
the most iconic creature
\nneeds protection
\nyou will seldom see them
\nthey are so defiled
\nshot and ambushed their babies stomped on
\nits very rarely you see them in the wild
\nright across the Nullabor not one, did I see
\nall the way to Darwin
\nit was yea, Roo free
\nall the way to Cairns not one
\nand to Brizzy then by rail
\nnot one did I see
\njust loads of bloody sugar cane
\nlooking back at me
\nthe roo is killed here mercilessly
\nits an evil that they hold
\ntheir hearts are made of beer and flesh
\nthe hunters are so cold<\/p>\n
Un yet up close its such a lovely
\nsoul, and cares
\nmore about the environment
\nit lives in and it shares
\na place with the aboriginie
\nwho also gets bad press
\nwho also cares a lot about
\na lot
\nand seeks redress
\nbut those first people
\nthose sweet souls
\nthose guardians who knew
\nabout the earth
\nand its worth
