The pilot cull of Badgers
\nwill happen, so we hear
\nthe police are keen
\nto tell us all
\nhow sensitive
\nthey appear
\nits clear they do
\nappreciate that
\ntroubles going to brew
\nbut the decision came from DEFRA
\nso they too have to do
\npolicing at all the events
\nand will remain aloof
\nand independent
\nand for those who raise the roof
\nand break the law
\narrests will follow
\nbut the right is there
\nto protest peacefully
\nand basically to share<\/p>\n
It isn’t right
\nin this day and age
\nto slaughter Badgers, they
\nare never guilty of all this
\nin the bright light of day
\nthe farmers and their scientists
\nknow this to be true
\nbut now sit back and
\nwatch Badgers get blamed
\nand killed
\nso few
\npeople point their fingers
\nbut Government says they
\nare guilty
\nso their guilty
\nand the guilty always pay<\/p>\n
The voiceless become scapegoats
\nthe farmers have the power
\nand the government caves in
\nthe corporations tower
\nover every one of us
\nwhat they say it goes
\nso in Gloucestershire
\nits all happening
\nand will keep us on our toes<\/p>\n
and mark my words dear people
\nafter this event
\ncattle will get TB
\nand no one will be content
\nthe farming lobby
\nrealise the folly of their ways
\nthe culling will be pointless
\njust another phase<\/p>\n
just a lot of bluster

\nwild animals will be murdered
\nyes the badger blues
\nwill be sung around about’s
\nin hedgerows it will ring
\nfeelings will be running high
\narrests are bound to bring
\nbloodshed even possibly
