This hungry and voracious reptile
\nLoves the taste of flesh
\nA misanthropic monster
\nYour limbs it does
\nrelish
\nNo concern for children
\nOr women on the banks
\nThis unbelievably dangerous beast
\nLies in wait and thanks
\nEveryone for filling up their
\nVessels every day
\nthey wait submerged
\nAnd suddenly leap
\nAnd massively bite away<\/p>\n
Such ferocity of purpose
\nThey are hungry and they will
\nLeap and drag a being
\nAnd rapidly they kill
\nIn amongst the papyrus grass
\nOn floating islands they
\nOften make their nests
\nAn on these secret areas lay
\nMany eggs and then of course
\nThey guard them,
\nthey come back
\nAnd anybody fishing there
\nComes under attack<\/p>\n
Uganda
\nMany villages are around the place
\nFetching water feeding cattle
\nIt\u2019s a real disgrace
\nThat Many many women are sadly
\nCaught off guard
\nTheir limbs ripped off in front of family
\nWhich is extremely hard<\/p>\n
To cope with and we are seeing
\nTraps being placed around
\nThe idea is to catch them
\nAnd transfer them across ground
\nTo what is a large National park
\nSafer from the places
\nWhere villagers are living
\nGoing through their paces
\nNile crocodiles apparently
\nHave a penchant for
\nHumans above all else
\nActually it\u2019s a war<\/p>\n
So many native people
\nThose survivors who
\nWere attacked but who got away
\nAs some actually do
\nMissing legs and arms
\nAlong with cattle stolen they
\nAre causing so much fear and anguish
\nReally every day.
\nAlmost every family has lost
\nA child apparently
\nAnd these crocs really hunt us
