\nWhere winds have strength beyond their means
\nRoaring is the theme one hears
\nThe gurgling rush of the screaming streams
\nRushing headlong over rocks
\nEach blast comes through the trees
\nLiving in the mountains
\nCan leave you on your knees
\nPraying to the goddess
\nTo calm herself and try
\nTo quieten down her rampage
\nThat opens up the sky
\nAnd hits our home with anger
\nPelts the glassy pane
\nRattles on the old Welsh slate
\nThat that heavy torrent rain<\/p>\n
A great draught down the chimney
\nNature puts on test
\nAn icy wind comes calling
\nAnd those of us that rest
\nOn our laurels in the high peaks
\nWe understand and know
