\nJust a baby
\nConfiscateD from the wild
\nPacked into a wooden crate
\nI mean to say he was a child
\nOnly knew about the Congo
\nThe virgin jungles there about
\nAlready on a tumbledown lorry
\nAnd without a doubt<\/p>\n
Flew across the sea to Bangkok
\nVia Istanbul we hear
\nA tiny little lowland gorilla
\nin side a crate so that was clear
\nLiving in a steamy
\njungle
\nLots of vegetation there
\nHe could eat the fruit
\nIn season
\nWith his mother by his side
\nShe was teaching Him the best place
\nAnd in those hollows he did hide<\/p>\n
When he got to Istanbul
\nThat\u2019s in Turkey
\nWhat they said
\nYou were in a crate, labelled rabbits
\nAnd you did look underfed
\nSo you can stay here in our zoo
\nAnd we willFeed you fruit that we
\nCan find selling
\nin our markets
\nAnd much happier you will be<\/p>\n

\nMissed his family
\nHis dear mother who taught him much
\nAnd missed his dad who use to hit him
\nReally now he felt outs of touch
\nReality was in the jungle
\nWith other gorillas
\nWhere he could speak
\nCongo rilla that was his language
\nIn Turkey he just felt so weak
\nAnd apparently the Turks have stated
\nHe can now always stay here so
\n Caged up like a prisoner alas
\nThe little primate down below<\/p>\n
No vegetation no steamy jungle
\nOn his wooden crate he sat
\nVisitors threw lots of insults
\nHe was gradually getting fat
\nEating buns and cakes and biscuits
\nIce cream cones and chocolate stars
\nNot good food for lowland gorillas<\/p>\n
