A beautiful large freshwater Lake
\nThreatened as we see
\nBy sewerage from discharges
\nSadly the apathy
\nFrom government and shareholders
\nAs the algae blooms do grow
\nAnd the illegal activity
\nThat lots around here know<\/p>\n
Wild fish swim it\u2019s deeper depths
\nIllegal spills are happening
\nPeople look the other way
\nLocals hit by higher bills
\nSomeone\u2019s got to pay
\nBlame the true consumers
\nAnd look around the place
\nWet wipes stuck on tree trunks
\nOf course it\u2019s a disgrace<\/p>\n
The governments cane up to see
\nPromises all around
\nThey know they have been naughty boys
\nSo many spills they have found
\nA thirty two per cent hike
\nComing on the bills
\nWe have to protect our countryside
\nAnd the glorious hills<\/p>\n
Knowingly they dump away
\nSewerage happens come what May
\nThe environment, really just who cares
\nSome possibly do say their prayers
\nBut others, well they look away
\nThey spend their profits every day
\nThe water\u2019s green up
\nThey don\u2019t care
\nIt\u2019s the balance sheet
\nThat they are more aware
\nAs for algae blooms
\nAnd the great green slime
\nAnd few dead fish
\nPassing with time<\/p>\n
The arctic char and the sweet brown trout
\nPike and Perch out and about
\nThe ducks the geese and of course the swans
\nWildlife matters and responds
\nTo pollutive ideology
\nTo broken promises
\nConstantly
\nDischarging polluted substances
\nIs happening as we all can see.<\/p>\n
