Discarded fishing lines
\nUpon river banks
\nAnglers they call themselves
\nMany are planks
\nThey don\u2019t use their common sense
\nDiscarding shot
\nDiscarding fishing gear
\nThey do it a lot<\/p>\n
Even in my time
\nIn the countryside
\nBait boxes maggots
\nWhere children climb.
\nOver fences near rivers
\nOn canals everywhere
\nAnglers they get on my nerves
\nThey don\u2019t care<\/p>\n
Ducks, moor hens, swans even
\nOwls too, we see
\nCaught up in lead traces
\nFrightened they be
\nDiscarded lead shot
\nIt\u2019s, a vile sport
\nThat will come back to haunt us
\nWhen these toxins are caught<\/p>\n
Up in the environment
\nIn the fish, people eat
\nIn the feathers and bones
\nThe so called elite
\nThey lower the tone
\nRaising the fear
\nRivers and beaches and lakes
\nThey appear
\nNeglected and injurious
\nOur wild life they scar<\/p>\n
Often on line, owls
\nLeft to die caught up in the cat gut
\nThe nylon it\u2019s why
\nSo many victims
\nWe now see on line
\nAnimals injured
\nBy discarded line<\/p>\n
And out in the countryside
\nLitter just thrown
\nInto our woodlands
\nThe problem has grown
\nFly tipping monsters
\nPull up and Chuck
\nThey ruin our countryside
\nAnd they don\u2019t give a fcuk<\/p>\n
Animals dying chicks in the nest
\nWaterlogged brooding
\nWe need to arrest
\nThese filthy intruders
\nFrom where ever they come
\nDestroying our countryside
\nLeaving me numb
\nAngels there are some
\nAs for hunters and shooters
\nThe foe
\nThey need to be locked up
\nWherever they go
\nMore cameras to catch them
\nOur beauty spots we
\nNeed to stop this bad stamp out
