A halal house of horror
\nFor Sheep and lambs we see
\nFootage of such awfulness
\nWe can feel the agony
\nThese are little babies
\nHerded to the door
\nSuffering true heartache
\nLike they never had before<\/p>\n
We have rules and standards
\nBut the inconsistency
\nThe film that was shot
\nIs upsetting
\nIt is brutality
\nTruly a waking nightmare
\nOf anguish angst and pain
\nTheY are trying to escape
\nWe can hear their dire refrain<\/p>\n
Misery apparent
\nFrighteningly so
\nSupposedly controlled we hear
\nBut they just don\u2019t seem to know
\nOr feel the animals wretchedness
\nLeading to despair
\nBeing yanked around their necks
\nAnd manhandled everywhere<\/p>\n
Noisy laughing tormentors
\nImagine the distress
\nWhether you eat meat or do not eat meat
\nAll should now confess
\nEmpathy is neeDed
\nCompassion has to be
\nThe infliction of such horror
\nAnd such anxiety<\/p>\n
Isn\u2019t what the laws say
\nAnd perpetrators must
\nBe removed from the areas
\nIt clearly is unjust
\nPeering through deaths door
\nWith others crying at your feet
\nSuch chagrin is dreadful
\nJust to enjoy their meat<\/p>\n
The unpleasantness is futile
\nInflicted in our name
\nThose of us who need the dead flesh
\nOr that be our claim
\nYes I am a vegan
\nOf many a long year
\nThe demonstrated agony
\nTo me is very clear<\/p>\n
The footage is unwatchable
\nTheir murmurs and their cries
\nWatching them and hearing them
\nIn spirit it defies
\nAll logic of regulation
\nIt\u2019s intolerable for me
