Five miles north of Dolgellau<\/p>\n
on the road to Porthmadog<\/p>\n
the Forest of Kings awaits us<\/p>\n
its Douglas Firs<\/p>\n
Agog<\/p>\n
With their Energy colossal<\/p>\n
each trying to reach the sky<\/p>\n
huge great trunks \u00a0clearly at peace<\/p>\n
with the forestry on high<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
night time draws the wild Deer<\/p>\n
amongst The roots and cones<\/p>\n
a marvellous soup of peacefulness<\/p>\n
And a soreness in my bones<\/p>\n
That takes me along a \u00a0weaving path<\/p>\n
Looking down on the Mawddach who<\/p>\n
Carries its magical \u00a0eddies before her<\/p>\n
its what all rivers do<\/p>\n
a man and his spaniel walking<\/p>\n
tossing a stick we saw<\/p>\n
his dog a plunging repeatedly<\/p>\n
clearly very sure<\/p>\n
fetching the stick and playfully<\/p>\n
bringing it back with ease<\/p>\n
all this done in a moment<\/p>\n
In the company of the trees.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
a foretaste and a certainty<\/p>\n
an enlivening display<\/p>\n
a catalyst \u00a0before us<\/p>\n
on this quiet Sunday<\/p>\n
a gratitude of Nature<\/p>\n
an appreciative I\u2019d say<\/p>\n
a positive resolution<\/p>\n
to the humblest today<\/p>\n
uninterrupted and ever flowing<\/p>\n
to the sea \u00a0not far away<\/p>\n
Storm clouds in the distance<\/p>\n
a pulverising sound<\/p>\n
of lorries on the by pass<\/p>\n
possibly Liverpool \u00a0bound.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
