upwards and always<\/p>\n
red cedars and all<\/p>\n
hemlock and sessile oak<\/p>\n
creating a wall<\/p>\n
of beautiful beings<\/p>\n
an army up there<\/p>\n
Bringing their silence<\/p>\n
for us all to share<\/p>\n
a peculiar darkness<\/p>\n
a stature of soul<\/p>\n
mosses and lichens<\/p>\n
out of control<\/p>\n
the great under storey<\/p>\n
where rabbits and fox<\/p>\n
tiptoe and eyeball<\/p>\n
the conifer stocks<\/p>\n

a foretaste of \u00a0longing<\/p>\n
of bygones before<\/p>\n
this great unbelievable forested core<\/p>\n
verdant and leafy<\/p>\n
an inky refrain<\/p>\n
masses of pine needles<\/p>\n
a shimmering chain<\/p>\n
of survivability<\/p>\n
during long days of rain.<\/p>\n
