Today is one of those balmy days<\/p>\n
when the black ants do their thing<\/p>\n
appear from various crevices<\/p>\n
possibly to bring<\/p>\n
Us all a taste of \u00a0ant flights<\/p>\n
winged they peel away<\/p>\n
As a child I always remember<\/p>\n
it happened \u00a0on a summers day<\/p>\n
but I understand there is no set day<\/p>\n
it has to be hot though when<\/p>\n
Lots crawl from the cracks and crevices<\/p>\n
a time as I pen<\/p>\n
their initial movements<\/p>\n
flying to the sky<\/p>\n
to be eaten by the waiting birds<\/p>\n
who probably rely<\/p>\n
on this formic acid \u00a0bounty<\/p>\n
this lemony \u00a0embrace<\/p>\n
the workers are still scurrying around<\/p>\n
at quite a pace.<\/p>\n
