We shouldn’t arm our children
\nand send them into war
\nthe principles of killing
\nthats not what they are for
\nor let them go and take a life
\npull their triggers
\nsmile
\ncreate in them a cancer
\nthat creates a kind of guile<\/p>\n
to see 4 little children
\nsitting in the sun
\nwith 2 dead bodies
\nprostrate
\nboth killed with their gun
\na gun some stupid parent
\nor friend have given to
\nthem to go and kill
\nis not the thing to do<\/p>\n
life is life
\nits sacred
\nyou do not take a gun
\nand end another’s precious time
\njust for a bit of fun
\nit really isn’t clever
\nits sordid its all wrong
\nits not a part of a child’s life
\nfor me they do belong<\/p>\n
in a world where life
\nis cherished
\nprotected and is whole
\nevery living sentient
\nis a precious soul<\/p>\n
killing its so final
\nthere is no way back, they
\nhave finished what they started
\nand took a life away<\/p>\n
creation, all those miracles
\nmade creatures great and small
\nand just because some ignorant
\nparent didn’t think that’s all <\/p>\n
2 innocent kindly animals
\nlay dead and lost from life
\nall their potential stolen
\ninstead untimely strife
\nfor their existing family
\nwaiting somewhere who
\nwill never see or love them
\nwhich is what families do<\/p>\n
and the children
\nwas it funny
\nwhen the animals dropped dead
\ncoughing blood onto the sand
\nfrom the great wounds in their head
\nscreaming, gnashing all that pain
\nwhat effect did that have, on those
\nlittle children do
\nthey value life
\nwe may suppose
\ntheir view<\/p>\n
is no they didn’t value
\nthe life they took away
\nthey didn’t understand how precious
\nlife was, and to pay
\nthat price for their experience
\nis to my mind very wrong
\nI say again to hunters
\nchildren do not belong<\/p>\n
in the field or anywhere
\nwhere killings taking place
\nand parents who create that need
\nare a, blatant disgrace
\nthey cast a seed that might grow
\neither way and they
\nmust all be more responsible
