The miracle that is<\/p>\n
the Poppy<\/p>\n
A floral beauty she<\/p>\n
Lies dormant often decades<\/p>\n
and erupts extraordinarily<\/p>\n
after many seasons<\/p>\n
A perpetual life force, \u00a0she<\/p>\n
after ground is worked<\/p>\n
A floral arcade comes to be<\/p>\n
earthworks<\/p>\n
shells exploding<\/p>\n
Preparation \u00a0for a \u00a0road<\/p>\n
will engage their life force<\/p>\n
that break the floral code<\/p>\n
and thousands then are woken<\/p>\n
from their<\/p>\n
slumbering bliss<\/p>\n
and fields of wondrous Poppies bloom<\/p>\n
And all about they kiss<\/p>\n
environments, \u00a0great flashes of colour<\/p>\n
come to be<\/p>\n
blowing in the breezes<\/p>\n
in what is an all out symphony<\/p>\n
yesterday I met Poppy<\/p>\n
Who helped me when I bought<\/p>\n
some ornamental toadstools<\/p>\n
which my best friend had sought<\/p>\n
a truly unique lady gentleness \u00a0her way<\/p>\n
in no way was she alien<\/p>\n
More resembling the fey<\/p>\n
a bounteous lass<\/p>\n
Of such good heart<\/p>\n
a perfectly natural soul<\/p>\n
who said she enjoyed poetry<\/p>\n
