Ashridge \u00a0and the birds<\/p>\n
pigeons on the roadway<\/p>\n
and ducks too<\/p>\n
lost for words<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
clearly after night time<\/p>\n
Pigeons know that they<\/p>\n
will pick up a good breakfast<\/p>\n
At \u00a0the start of every day<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
windless a still offerIng<\/p>\n
peace is to be seen<\/p>\n
ashridge is now mine<\/p>\n
to see and feel<\/p>\n
a seminal sign<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
changes are now happening<\/p>\n
blossom everywhere<\/p>\n
the Gorse is rich and golden<\/p>\n
and birds are prone to share<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the early bird catches the worm<\/p>\n
it apparently is so<\/p>\n
they also clear up road kill<\/p>\n
as if we didn\u2019t know<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
those sleep ins<\/p>\n
still in warm beds<\/p>\n
are unlikely \u00a0to see<\/p>\n
what goes on in the country lanes<\/p>\n
now in front of me<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
quietly sitting in my car<\/p>\n
a squirrel comes to see<\/p>\n
Darting this way \u00a0darting that way<\/p>\n
he is constantly<\/p>\n
timid in his output<\/p>\n
but seemingly wants to<\/p>\n
see what \u00a0it is I am doing<\/p>\n
Despite the \u00a0morning dew.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the trees are apparently sleeping<\/p>\n
quietly in repose<\/p>\n
leaning this way leaning that way<\/p>\n
this is how they pose<\/p>\n
a stillness \u00a0not a flutter<\/p>\n
One dog walker \u00a0he<\/p>\n
bare legged is out here seeing<\/p>\n
some blue sky actually<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
the light is quite fantastic<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
pigments come and go<\/p>\n
The odd car plies the roadway<\/p>\n
and pigeons \u00a0they well know<\/p>\n
to leap into the sky space
\nAnd come back down to feed<\/p>\n
clearly they are prudent in the<\/p>\n
ways they choose to feed.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
