no healing source<\/p>\n

several female Quichua<\/p>\n
friends said that they<\/p>\n
would treat the infection<\/p>\n
they had a way<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
collecting mountain herbs<\/p>\n
and berries and plants<\/p>\n
all night they administered love<\/p>\n
and the chance<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
was mine<\/p>\n
and I took it<\/p>\n
they cleansed \u00a0on the hour<\/p>\n
banished the infection<\/p>\n
with pure native power<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
later that week<\/p>\n
at hospital I<\/p>\n
was seen by the surgeon<\/p>\n
a \u00a0real brilliant guy<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
he examined my leg<\/p>\n
Telling me then my<\/p>\n
Leg they had saved<\/p>\n
and.that was why<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
respect for the native tribes<\/p>\n
always has been<\/p>\n
uppermost in my soul<\/p>\n
Of course its their scene<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
they know the old ways<\/p>\n
having faith, I knew too<\/p>\n
i was saved with their care<\/p>\n
and their \u00a0love<\/p>\n
it was true<\/p>\n

the arrogant West<\/p>\n
the medics of now<\/p>\n
have lots to learn<\/p>\n
from the Indigenous how<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
to cure certain problems<\/p>\n
with magic and care<\/p>\n
they were clearly un phased<\/p>\n
in wanting to share<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
and me being out of it<\/p>\n
writhing in pain<\/p>\n
,letting them treat me<\/p>\n
again and again<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
,loving and caring<\/p>\n
really all night long<\/p>\n
Got me back on my feet<\/p>\n
and once again strong .<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
