A Sea of Pigs
\nBefore me
\nIn vast dark
\nsmelly sheds
\nWhat thoughts go
\nthrough
\nEach animal
\nIntheir also cavernous heads
\nThe hell we put them through
\nmust they
\nthink badly of us
\nfor the way
\nwe so abuse
\ntheir time on earth
\nTheir lives too clearly
\nhad some worth<\/p>\n
But commodities
\njust numbers they
\nFound themselves
\nforced to pay
\nI Billion animals
\nevery year go through
\nthis in the great UK
\nThe market place
\nFilled up with those
\nwho dream of profit
\nI suppose<\/p>\n
Such naive brutes
\nin their white coats
\nWho smile whilst slitting
\nall their throats
\nThe corporate few
\nwho still accrue
\nGreat wealth
\nBut after more
\nIts makes no sense
\nwhen the expense
\nIs loaded on the poor<\/p>\n
The evil so exacted
\nOn the animals today
\nEverything is calculated
\nin every minute way
\nTo satisfy shareholders
\nUnthinkable ordeals
\nBecome a way of life
\nfor some
\nthat the camera reveals
\nInseminated by the clumsily
\nby the corporate hand
\nAnd a pre arranged time
\nfor death
\nThe economic band
\nIs up and running purposefully
\nIn abject pain their cries
\nignored by those who consume them
\nSo its comes as no surprise
\n45 billion animals are slaughtered
\nevery year, our world of immense suffering
\nof shock and awe and fear
\nto house this colossal number
\nVast tracts of Forest lost
\nWater has been tainted
\nBut not part of the cost
\nThe terrible pollution
\nThe dead zones in the sea
\nThe massive degradation
\nThat is true insanity<\/p>\n
Its hard to find words perhaps the only word is holocaust 45 billion souls lost to humanity each year of which 50% of their tortured bodies are consumed and 50% are rendered down for pet foods A sheer waste of life and a terrible karmic debt on those countries allowing such slaughter to take place Continue reading
