Being in Wales
\nMeeting it\u2019s people
\nEveryone\u2019s
\nfriendly
\nThat\u2019s what I have found
\nI love the North
\nThe lakes and the mountains
\nThoughtful and caring
\nAnd wonderfully sharing<\/p>\n
A word like belonging
\nA kind of fellowship
\nCloser to Nature
\nEmboldened I feel
\nTo the mountain protectors
\nAll greeting the sky
\nThe sparkling streams
\nWhere Observance is high<\/p>\n
Smiles far from rare
\nResigned seemingly
\nTo aid and assist
\nMany wonders to see
\nA wonderland out there
\nGreat mountains we see
\nSlate and great Heather
\nJust running free<\/p>\n
In the light flaming red
\nDramatic it be
\nBringing good fortune
\nIt seems to me
\nThe sheep they are everywhere
\nSlow moving souls
\nMunching away
\nThey own their roles
\nIn all weathers, they
\nAudaciously climb
\nAt the butt of each day<\/p>\n
Not a care in the world
\nThe patience of Job
\nLoving each other
\nEach woolly robe
\nSafeguarding their bodies
\nFrom the cry of the wind
\nThe lament heaven sent
\nAll, determined<\/p>\n
Unruffled by strong blasts
\nAnd, steep inclines
\nThey come into the road
\nNot reading the signs
\nThe motorists some of them
\nFoot down and away
\nIt\u2019s a wonder the sheep don\u2019t get
\nFlattened I say<\/p>\n
So many colours subtle and strong
\nThe grit of the masonry
\nThey all belong
\nto the great mountain vistas
\nThe mountain sides where
\nAll manner of plants grow
