For 30 million years
\nThese beautiful beasts have roamed
\nOur world
\nBarking Deer or Rib faced Deer
\nTheir beauty they have just unfurled
\nWandering through our forests
\nAnd hedgerows quietly, they
\nAre said to be invasive
\nSo are shot just any day<\/p>\n
No close season so hunters
\nGet to their mission they
\nMake excuses for killing them
\nIt\u2019s their sickness
\nAnyway
\nA godly soul created
\nMuntiacus they
\nAre growing in numbers
\nWhich I am pleased to say<\/p>\n
They are described as browsers
\nOf Woodland herbs and plants
\nThe understory it is said
\nGets a pasting not by chance
\nGardens close to woodlands, new leaves
\nCourgettes and pumpkins they
\nMake short work of asparagus
\nAnd lettuces
\nAcorns are a favourite
\nFruits and berries too
\nThey truly are a delightful soul
\nBut we hear that the EU<\/p>\n
Wants them killed by hunters
\nIt happens sadly they
\nSometimes end up as Road kill
\nA tragedy, and they pay
\nAll of us animal lovers
\nAre Fearful of the day
\nCar drivers on these country roads<\/p>\n
