In Canada the Black Bears
\nSought after by some
\nThe MOD
\nThe reason leaves me numb
\nHibernation Nature\u2019s way
\nOf resting
\non their laurels
\n so to say
\nDug into the snowy deep
\nBlack Bears enjoy their annual sleep
\nEternal dreams with Dear Mama
\nDeep in the ice and snow
\nThey are<\/p>\n
As they awake from Winters bite
\nAnd venture out
\nWhich is their right
\nMothers have lost a lot of weight
\nSome 40 per cent
\nWhich isn\u2019t great
\nIf with their cubs
\nThe law says they
\nCannot be shot
\nBut alone, they may<\/p>\n
For Our Guards helmets
\nEvery year
\n100 black Bears die
\nThe mothers in fear
\nIt\u2019s wrong on all counts
\nFor a fashionable hat
\nWhat of her cubs
\nThat\u2019s where we are at<\/p>\n
The public when asked
\nBelieve its not right
\nFaux fur is better
\nBut the British Might and
\nTradition of course
\nHas the upper hand
\nKilling Bears is the answer
\nWe just don\u2019t understand<\/p>\n
Mothers are starving
\nTheir Long hibernation
\nThe hunters, bait areas
\nBear\u2019s sweet salvation
\nYes hungry mothers
\nAre drawn to these places
\nShot down and killed
\nThe look on their faces<\/p>\n
Knowing their babies will perish
\nAlone
\nWaiting for mother
\nWho fell like a stone
\nDead to the world
\nFrustrated as hell
\nAnd all for some hat
\nThat possesses the smell<\/p>\n
Of death for reality
\nTraditionally
\nIt\u2019s all about fashion
\nAnd the MOD
\nCare, no one cares
\nReally nothing, alas
\nIn snow caverns babies
\nThey perish on mass<\/p>\n
Waiting frustratingly
\nWondering why their mother
\nKissed them and waved them goodbye
\nNever to return
