Intelligence,
\nfoxes
\nMake much of their lives
\nThey spend months at wild universe
\nHow each survives
\nMan is their enemy
\nSlow witted he
\nHunts them but obviously
\nHe fails to see<\/p>\n
For the Fox is invisible
\nA magician of sorts
\nKnowing the countryside
\nAnd profound thoughts
\nCaring for family
\nAnd for the earth
\nInside the den which is when
\nThe great worth <\/p>\n
comes to fruition
\nLooking to be
\nSurvivors in man land
\nWhere hunters ride free
\nFoxes love lamb
\nThe farmers they know
\nHow much the fox loves them
\nThe cubs too will grow
\nStronger on lamb
\nThan the other wild meats
\nRabbits and voles
\nAnd weasels all treats
\nThe hunts are about
\nBanned over here
\nBut they go out they do
\nSpreading the fear
\nWhich is why the fox
\nHas a penchant to be
\nHiding on hill sides
\nAs a constancy<\/p>\n
He goes out at night
\nEyes everywhere
\nA great sense of smell
\nRemaining aware
\nA good sense of hearing
\nQuietly he strides
\nThrough the brush and the leaves
\nWith his camouflage hides<\/p>\n
The squirrel man cometh
\nThough evil they be
\nToo many souls are dug out
\nTragically
\nLeaving cubs in the den
\nWhile the parents go
\nLooking for food
\nIt\u2019s, when we know<\/p>\n
The cubs they may cry
\nHungry they be
\nIt\u2019s when mother comes back
\nAnd the gamekeeper He
\nHiding
\na heartless oaf
\nTrying to fool
\nThe wild soul whose love
\nFor her cubs
\nBreaks the rule<\/p>\n
Instinct is rampant
\nThe wild predatory
\nHas a magical presence
\nThe vicinity
\nA snapping of twigs
\nA rustle of leaves
\nAmused by it all
