We humans are sick
\nSoulless I say
\nFarming ducks
\nWebbed feet birds
\nTo consume
\nAnd we pay<\/p>\n
Little attention
\nTo where most Ducks live
\nThey of course live in water
\nAnd so we give<\/p>\n
Man anything but kind
\nOr observant or able
\nAll he thinks of is how
\nThey are abused for our table
\nHoused out of water
\nIn captivity
\nAnd abused every second
\nPeculiarly<\/p>\n
The meat trade
\nAre ignorant
\nArrogant sods
\nNo study of habitat
\nBetter than the gods
\nWho created these birds
\nWho made them this way
\nWebbed feet to swim with
\nWhich we change, and they pay<\/p>\n
A different diet
\nA different life
\nMan isn\u2019t kind
\nMan present his strife
\nTo all of the animals
\nHe\u2019s chosen to
\nAbuse and consume
\nSadly it\u2019s true<\/p>\n
Wild ducks they fly
\nThey swim and they be
\nEating what God gave them
\nBut then what we
\nEat let\u2019s create what we think is the best
\nThe cheapest the easiest
\nWay to invest<\/p>\n
In farming these creatures
\nWe just break their hearts
\nNo families to speak of
\nWe throw them in carts
\nWe talk economics we quietly abuse
\nHonest to god
\nWe simply refuse<\/p>\n
To be honest to consumers
\nImagining they
\nGet what they pay for
\nBut they don\u2019t
\nAnd we play
\nOut the fresh life style
\nIn sheds in the dry
\nFed on what makes more profit
\nUnder the sky<\/p>\n
Ducks with their feathers
\nFlesh for stir fry
\nShoved in the ovens
\nNo word of a lie
\nCruelty stinks
\nThese innocent birds
\nAre imprisoned in hell
\nYes yes mark my words<\/p>\n
The meat trade is ready
\nTo market them they
\nAre all being kept
\nFrom the water, away
\nFrom river or stream
