Trees become shadows
\nAs light leaves the sky
\nA stillness a darkness
\nOn this we rely
\nA haven for wild birds
\nA positive place
\nSwallowed up by the night
\nAt an inscrutable pace<\/p>\n
As the clouds turn to grey
\nSlowly the trees
\nAre absorbed they become
\nThe night too
\nAn ease
\na fulfilment
\nAs we look, less we see
\nSubmerged swallowed up
\nIn what is mystery<\/p>\n
How do the birds feel
\nWhat\u2019s their intent
\nTo roost there contentedly
\nSeemingly spent
\nBy their daytime activity
\nHeavenly sent<\/p>\n
To sleep and to think
\nAnd to dream and to be
\nLost in the darkness
\nJust Much harder to see
\nMoonlight a golden
\nA wisp of a ball
\nHangs from the clouds
\nHalf expected to fall<\/p>\n
Looking out the window at the big trees over yonder
