\nA day in each year
\nWhen great African Lions
\nWere slaughtered at dawn
\nWhen the sun shines
\nA fantastic growl
\nA great hairy mane
\nZimbabwe the country
\nWhere the insane<\/p>\n
Came to kill animals
\nHunters they say
\nUp for a trophy
\nOn a given day
\nAn auspicious fellow
\nCreated to be
\nOne of the beasts
\nAnd seemingly<\/p>\n
It attracted the low life
\nThe hunting clan
\nNot particularly good shots
\nHow it began
\nThe great white hunters
\nWith Rifle like guns
\nWho stalked the bold felines
\nAnd loved eating buns<\/p>\n
They named a day after
\nThese trophy millionaires
\nWho Entered Zimbabwe
\nSaying their prayers
\nShooting the animals
\nSaying aloud
\nThey won the trophy
\nOf which they were proud<\/p>\n
Sedali one of them
\nOld rowdy souls
\nA lion that would growl
\nRemaining poles
\nAhead of the others
\nThis wondrous soul
\nWas shot on the day
