In the rolling hills lush and green
\ncattle were procured
\noff to Qatar’s Al Waab Farm
\nit seems many were lured
\nthey were told that it was
\nowned by some great prince
\nand so they shipped
\n10,000 out in February
\nbut some how,
\nthings have slipped<\/p>\n
the facilities in Qatar
\nwere terrible
\nthe heat there is so high
\nno cow can stand
\nthey need a lot of water
\nthey need care and attention
\nneglecting livestock
\nwasjust out of hand<\/p>\n
and now the worst has happened
\nclass breeding stocks are dead
\nin just a few month sadly
\nand its all come to a head
\npromises were made about facilities
\nand they
\nwere clearly all pie in the sky
\nat the, end of the day<\/p>\n
no real yards to speak of
\njust lying in hot sand
\nwill burn them from the inside out
\nbut they don’t understand
\nand when the Australian farmer
\nwent over just to see
\nshe was flabbergasted at the extent
\nof negligence, the key<\/p>\n
appears to be there’ are standards
\nfor exported cows for slaughter
\nbut for breeding programmes
\nnothing much in place
\nI mean, no water!
\nfor cows to drink
\nwhen temperatures
\nexceed 50 degrees
\nof course they are dehydrated
\nand buckling at the knees<\/p>\n
of course they look
\nthe worst for wear
\nno shelter to be seen
\nthe sun will burn them
\nto a cinder this care
\nwas just too mean<\/p>\n
out of the biggest shipment
\n3000 or so left
\nthat is bloody terrible
\nall those cows bereft
\nof care and understanding
\nits altogether wrong
\nthose farmers and the government
\nshould have seen how it
\nwent wrong!<\/p>\n
we saw last year
\nthe terror where Australia has its rules
\nblind eyes turned
\njust not concerned
\nand atrocities and calls
\nhappening all around the place
\nto animals no care
\nand now the breeding problems
\nshow us no one seems aware<\/p>\n
again it comes back down to
\npeoples thinking
\nDesert Farming is a can of worms
\nanimals fed and raised in Oz will suffer
\nand clearly most have died
\ncoming to terms
\nwith all that basic suffering
\nsome farmers now say
\nthey
\nwill never
\nexport stock again
\nthat’s good
\nthat’s what I say<\/p>\n
But money changed hands
\nand so the cows were shipped abroad
\nthe cattle took a bashing
\nnot a great reward
\nshich cuts buyer and cuts seller
\nand the cows themselves as well
\nthey left their lovely pastures
\nfor what turned out to be hell<\/p>\n
Australia is lacking in its kind of control
\nit should have checked the facilities
\nthey were told were there
\ntheir role!
\nthe cows
\nhave perished painfully
\na real state to be in
\nban this trade completely
